Italian Beef Stew Recipe



Italian beef stew is a great holiday recipe which tastes is awesome for every time. I suggest you to take wine with Italian beef stew which will give you an extra flavor at your mealtime .It was the 1st time I made this Italian beef stew by employing red wine and it made a difference. I am absolutely sure that you will like this Italian beef stew recipes.

Serve for 5-6 persons 



Ingredients:

1000 gm. of stew meat cut into square chunk
150 gm. of flour
4 medium tomatoes cut into medium diced
300 gm. tomato sauce
300 ml or little more water as required covering vegetables
100 ml dry red wine or extra as needed on taste
2 medium green bell pepper cut into big diced
2 medium onions cut into sliced
5 medium carrots peeled and cut into round shaped
1 large zucchini sliced into round shaped
250 gm. fresh green beans
4 sticks of celery sliced in to julienne
5 small baking potatoes cut into pieces
4 cloves crushed garlic
2 tbsp. oregano herbs
110 ml olive oil
1 tbsp. ground black pepper
Salt as required

Method of Preparation: 
  • Take off fat from meat.
  • Take flour on a large tray. Add a little bit salt and black pepper ground. Mix the meat chunk into the flour and get rid of any excess.
  • Place it into the refrigerator for 1 hour or until ready to use.
  • Prepare all the vegetables cut as mentioned above.
  • Place a heavy bottomed stock pot on medium fire.
  • Add oil and then stirring the meat till its color is brown but not too much sticky.
  • Add crashed garlic, oregano herbs and salt and pepper and stir well for three minutes.
  • Add red wine and let simmer for almost 10 minutes and continue stirring.
  • Add all the vegetable as mentioned above with quantities and stir well.
  • Add diced tomatoes, water and tomato sauce with stirring lightly and cover them with a lid.
  • Bring them Simmering around one hour.
  • Check seasoning. 
Your Italian beef stew is ready to serve with bread or rice. And don’t forget to take wine for extra flavor and taste.
